A single malt from Arran, finished in port casks and bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky first matured in American oak for about eight years. It was then moved into casks that had held port from a classic Douro Valley producer. This second period is closely watched, to keep the sweetness from the port casks in balance with the natural Arran character.
The result is a sweet dram with dark fruit and berry notes. It is suggested as an after-dinner drink or alongside mature cheeses.
