Arran Quarter Cask The Bothy is a single malt from the Arran distillery, bottled at cask strength, 56.2%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added caramel colouring.
The whisky matured first in ex-bourbon casks, then spent 18 months finishing in small American oak quarter casks.
The nose is fruity, with pineapple, mango, coconut, vanilla and fresh apple. On the palate tropical fruit leads, with coconut, sweet vanilla and soft apple, plus spice and warmth from the oak. The finish is long and warming, with tropical fruit, coconut and vanilla.
