Arran – Robert Burns Single Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 43%)

Arran Robert Burns is a single malt from Isle of Arran Distillers that carries the poet's signature. The distillery has partnered with the World Burns Federation since 1998 and is the only whisky company the Federation endorses for this. Arran is the closest working distillery to Burns's birthplace of Alloway. It is a vatting of Arran malts of different ages, matured about 70% in ex-bourbon American oak casks and 30% in ex-sherry hogsheads. It is bottled at 43% ABV with no artificial colouring. Tasting notes mention vanilla, honey, caramel, tinned fruit, orchard fruit, apples and strawberries, with creamy coconut, peppery spice and a spicy twist on the finish.
