Arran – Sauternes Cask Finish (50%)

Arran Sauternes Cask Finish is a single malt matured in oak casks for eight years, then finished in Sauternes wine casks. The Master Distiller selected these Bordeaux sweet white wine casks from a small producer. It is bottled at 50% abv. The nose is honey sweetness with citrus. The palate is richly honeyed, with a lifting zestiness that moves into spice and zingy salt. As it opens, vanilla and sultana come through, followed by toasted oak. The finish brings sweetness, honey, apricot, melon and honeysuckle.
