Arran Signature Series Edition 4, Sherry Serenade, is a nine-year-old unpeated single malt and the fourth and final bottling in the Signature Series. It was chosen and signed by distillery manager Stewart Bowman, and 13,971 bottles were filled at 50% ABV.
The whisky matured entirely in sherry casks. First-fill Oloroso hogsheads form the base, joined by Pedro Ximénez and Amontillado casks from warehouses 1 and 4.
The nose brings dried figs, dates, dark raisins, toasted nuts, leather and oak. The palate is full and velvety, with toffee, dark syrup and chocolate-covered cherries. The finish is long and warm, with caramelised orange, toasted oak, cocoa and soft spice.
