Arran – Signatures Series Edition 2 Barrel Bonfire 11 Year Old (70cl, 50%)

Barrel Bonfire is an 11 year old peated Arran single malt, the second of four releases in the Signatures Series. The series was chosen and signed by Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman. It is a limited edition of 14,822 bottles at 50%, in a 70cl size, with a smoke level of 42 ppm. The whisky was distilled in 2012 and spent just under five and a half years in bourbon casks. In 2018 it was moved into quarter casks that came from the Koval distillery in Chicago, and it matured in them for a further five and a half years in Warehouse #4 at Lochranza. The palate is full, soft and oily, with spicy cinnamon and citrus, plenty of vanilla and toasted oak. The finish brings more vanilla and peat, with dry campfire smoke.
