Asombroso Del Porto Extra Añejo (75cl, 40%)

Asombroso Del Porto is an extra añejo tequila made from 100% blue Weber agave at a distillery in Jalisco. It spends 11 years in new French oak and a final year in Portuguese port wine barrels, which were sourced specially for the purpose. The agave is cooked in an autoclave, milled with a roller mill, fermented with champagne yeast and double-distilled, using deep-well water from the estate. It comes in a handmade crystal decanter, set in a cedar humidor, in a 75cl bottle at 40% vol. The nose offers sweet cherry, port wine and oak. The palate opens oaky with floral undertones, then moves to toffee and sweet port, and the finish is smooth, sweet and long.
