Asso di Denari Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC

A red wine from Piedmont made from the Barbera grape. The Superiore designation indicates a higher quality level, often achieved through stricter grape selection and longer ageing, which may include time in wood barrels. It is described with an intense ruby red colour with possible garnet reflections from ageing. The nose offers cherry, blackberry and plum, with vanilla, sweet spices and light toast from wood ageing. On the palate it is robust yet balanced, with lively acidity, soft integrated tannins and a long, harmonious finish where fruit and woody notes meet. It suits rich dishes such as red meats, mushroom dishes, medium-aged cheeses and Piedmontese cooking.
