Soloist is a straight bourbon from ASW Distillery in Atlanta, Georgia, bottled at 50% in a 75cl bottle. It is ASW's own house bourbon, double-distilled on Vendome copper pot stills with the grains in, and it was the first straight bourbon distilled in the city.
The mash bill gives up some corn for malts: 56% corn, with wheat malt, rye malt, Munich malt, beechwood-smoked malt and chocolate rye malt. It was matured in new American white oak barrels, charred to levels 3 and 4, and is non-chill filtered with no colour added. It won a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2020.
The distillery describes Cinnamon Toast Crunch, cherry cola, chocolate and peanut brittle.
