Athru 14 Year Old Annacoona is an Irish whiskey blended by Billy Walker, part of a limited edition series selected for the Lough Gill distillery in Sligo. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
It spent its first 11 years in American oak casks, then a final 3 years in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is elegant and aromatic, with dried fruit, oranges and melted chocolate. The palate is rich, with salted caramel, dark forest fruits and lingering spices, becoming honeyed with chocolate and citrus.
