This is a 14 year old Irish single malt from Lough Gill Distillery, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The release was limited to 6,600 bottles.
The whiskey was matured first in ex-bourbon American oak, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. It takes its name from Knocknarea, the mountain that overlooks the distillery's setting beside Lough Gill.
The palate is described as mince pies and rich caramel. The finish brings pepper and a note of cigar box.
