Knocknarea is a 14-year-old single malt Irish whiskey from Athrú, made at Lough Gill Distillery and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose it shows toasted cinnamon, nutmeg and cocoa powder, with sweet jelly-like notes and ground almonds. The palate starts quite dry before turning sweeter, with baking spices, raisins, almonds and walnuts and a light peppery edge. The finish is nuttier still, with baked pecans and caramel.
