A 12 year old Lowland single malt from Auchentoshan, bottled in the 1980s at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The label notes that it is triple distilled and matured in fine oak casks, and that the distillery at Dalmuir was established in 1823. It is a Morrison Bowmore era bottling. Auchentoshan stands on the outskirts of Glasgow. Tennents brewery owned it through the 1960s, then sold it to Eadie Cairns, who upgraded the site and began bottling it officially as a single malt. None of its output is reserved for blends, which is why so many distillery and independent single cask releases exist.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
