Auchentoshan 1998 Sherry Cask Matured is a Lowland single malt from the Distillery Cask series, distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2010 at 54.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and was aged in Fino sherry wood.
The distillery's triple-distilled, velvety character meets the sherry wood here. Tasting notes mention dark fruit and honeyed sweetness with zesty citrus, roasted nuts and warm baking spices, and a long, elegant, gently oak-forward finish.
