Baker's Bourbon 13 Year Old Single Barrel (75cl, 53.5%)

Baker's 13 Year is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 53.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is named after Baker Beam, a sixth-generation member of the Beam distilling family, and takes the place of the earlier seven-year-old expression. It is made at Jim Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont from a mashbill of 77% corn, 13% rye and 10% malted barley, distilled at a lower proof than most of the distillery's other bottlings. Each bottle carries a serial number that traces its barrel's warehouse position and ageing. Cherry, apricot and ripe grape on the nose lead to vanilla buttercream, stone fruit and maple on the palate. The finish is long, with rye spice, barrel char and sweet tobacco.
