A 12-year-old Balblair bottled by Little Brown Dog at 56% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was filled into cask on 5 April 2014 and bottled on 6 May 2026, with 290 bottles in the run.
The whisky is a calvados cask finish, technically an ex-white port cask followed by calvados. Two casks of Balblair went into a single small calvados cask, and a little over a year there added an extra note of bright green apples and a champagne-like finish.
The calvados cask was brought back from Normandy by the bottler, and the label carries a Bayeux Tapestry design to reflect that link.
