Balblair 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The distillery ferments for 62 hours and distils over 4½ hours. The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and double-fired American oak casks, the latter adding toasted sweetness and spice.
The nose is lemon peel, creamy vanilla, green apple and a little honey, with light oak spice. On the palate, orange and lemon zest give way to green apple and custard, then ground spices and caramel. The finish is medium, with vanilla, cinnamon, white pepper and a note of milk tea.
