Balblair 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the Balblair distillery in Edderton, Ross-shire, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. It is bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration.
The whisky matured for 15 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then was finished in first-fill Spanish oak butts.
Leatherwood honey and spicy gingerbread lead the nose, with juicy prunes and fresh lemon peel behind. The palate is velvety, with dark chocolate, tropical fruit and warming spices, and the finish is long and mellow with creamy vanilla and citrus.
