Balblair 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the Balblair distillery, founded in 1790. It is bottled at 46% ABV, with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The whisky matures first in American oak casks that held bourbon, then in first-fill Spanish oak casks that held sherry.
The nose offers butterscotch and cooked pear with a note of leather. On the palate come ripe apricot, spiced oak and vanilla cream, followed by a long, warm finish of soft spice and raisins.
