This is the 1st Release from Balblair, a Highland single malt distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2017. It was matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is ripe apple, lemon zest and vanilla. The palate mixes citrus, caramel and honeyed shortbread on a smooth, velvety texture. The finish is medium in length and refreshing, with lemon sweets and delicate floral honey.
