Balcones Texas Dark Rum (75cl)

Balcones Texas Dark Rum is a dark rum from Texas, made from molasses and distilled twice in hand-built copper pot stills. The rum is matured in casks from a cooperage programme that uses several species of oak and a range of toast levels. The result is a full-bodied, viscous rum with deep fruit and warm notes of vanilla and caramel. The nose brings rock candy, leather, violets, burnt marshmallow, prune and roasted nuts. The palate is lush and coating, with cacao nibs, hazelnut syrup, char and tart cherry skins. The finish is medium, with raw sugar, candied beets, tawny port reduction and firm tannins.
