Ballantine's 10 Year Old American Barrel is a blended Scotch whisky matured for ten years in American oak casks. Those casks lend clear vanilla and caramel, with light sweet wood and dried fruit.
The nose is clean and soft. On the palate it is round with a medium body, its warmth balanced by a gentle tannic grip. The finish is of moderate length, recalling toasted hazelnut with a touch of sweet spice.
