Ballantine's 12 Years is a blended Scotch whisky from Pernod Ricard, in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of spirits from around 50 distilleries, among them Miltonduff and Glenburgie. The Ballantine's name traces its heritage to 1827, when George Ballantine's son opened a small grocery in Edinburgh and supplied whiskies to his customers.
The nose offers sherry and dried fruit, honey, caramel, herbs and tobacco. The palate is creamy, spicy and fresh, with notes of pastry and spice.
