Ballechin 10 Year Old is a smoky single malt from the Edradour distillery, a house better known for soft, mild sherried bottlings. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matures in ex-bourbon casks and then receives a finish in Oloroso sherry casks, which adds a pleasant fruitiness. It is the classic ten-year-old of the Ballechin range and a good first step into smoky single malts.
