This is a 2014 single malt from Ballindalloch, matured in first-fill Oloroso casks and bottled at 59.9% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers rich dried fruits, polished oak, dark chocolate and orange marmalade, with hints of leather and tobacco. On the palate come layers of treacle, dates, raisins, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, toasted almonds and warming spices. The finish is very long, with lingering oak, cocoa, espresso and sweet dried fruits.
