Ballindalloch – The Castle (70cl, 50%)

This is a single malt from Ballindalloch in Speyside, released to mark the launch of John Sutherland's crime novel The Castle. It is also the distillery's first lightly peated expression. The whisky was distilled in 2015 and matured in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon casks and second-fill casks that previously held peated whisky. A total of 2,400 bottles were produced, each in a 70cl bottle and accompanied by a copy of the novel, a murder mystery set on the Ballindalloch Castle estate. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 50%.
