Ballindalloch The Castle is a Speyside single malt released as a celebratory limited edition of 2,400 bottles. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and ex-peated casks, which bring gentle peat smoke alongside creamy, bourbon-led sweetness.
The nose has orchard fruit, vanilla custard, soft honey and malt, with light peat smoke, toasted oak, lemon zest and warm pastry. On the palate, creamy vanilla, pear and baked apple lead, then sweet malt, light citrus and a touch of salted caramel. The finish is long and lightly smoky, with honeycomb, vanilla cream and soft spice.
