Ballyhoo is an Irish single grain whiskey in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. It is finished in red tawny port casks from the Douro Valley in Portugal.
The port finish brings the influence of fortified wine to a whiskey made from carefully selected grains, and it is suggested neat or over a large cube.
On the palate there are ripe plums, dark cherries and soft caramel, followed by gentle baking spices and a lingering fruity sweetness.
