Balvenie 12 Year Old Curious Casks is a limited single cask Speyside single malt, bottled at 47.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The Curious Cask Collection is a collaboration between Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie and Samples Coordinator George Paterson, marking their close working partnership. Kelsey McKechnie chose this cask personally. It is a European oak cask that previously held a rich, sweet wine from Montilla in Spain, and the whisky spent 12 years in it.
It is described as candied and sweet, with intense vanilla and oak, warm spice and hints of fruit.
