Balvenie Double Wood is a 12 year old single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, named after the two types of wood in which it is matured.
During maturation it is transferred from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first-fill European oak sherry cask, and it is this move between woods that gives the malt its distinctive character.
