This is a 12 year old single malt from Balvenie, matured in two types of cask. It spends its first period in American oak, then moves to first-fill European sherry casks.
The American oak gives vanilla and honey, while the sherry casks add dried fruit and spice. The whisky is amber in colour. The nose shows red fruits, cinnamon and dark chocolate, followed by an elegant palate and a long, warm finish.
