This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from Balvenie, in a 20cl bottle.
Doublewood refers to its two-cask maturation. The whisky is first aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose brings honey, vanilla and gentle spice with subtle oak. The palate is nutty and sweet, layered with cinnamon and soft sherry notes. The finish is long and warming, with spice and lingering richness.
