Balvenie DoubleWood is a 12 year old single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks and ex-sherry butts, and has a full body and a sweet character.
The nose combines sweet fruit and oloroso sherry with honey and vanilla. The palate is smooth and mellow, with nutty sweetness, cinnamon spice and a light layer of sherry. The finish is long and warming.
