Balvenie 14 Year Old Week of Peat is a peated single malt, bottled at 48.3% in a 70cl bottle.
The peated spirit is made for one week a year only, which is where the name comes from. The whisky is described as the gentle side of Balvenie meeting a darker side, with plenty of twists and turns on the palate.
The nose has sweet, aromatic peat smoke with vanilla, soft spices, golden honeycomb and springtime florals. The palate starts rich and almost creamy, with citrus, orange blossom and honey, before balanced peat and smoke. The finish is gentle smoke with vanilla and creamy citrus.
