Balvenie – 14 Year Old The Week of Peat (70cl, 48.3%)

Balvenie 14 Year Old The Week of Peat is a single malt bottled at 48.3% abv, in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from the distillery's first Week of Peat, held in 2002. For that week, barley grown in a single field was peated in the malt kiln. The peated malt drew a great deal of attention for its intense aroma, and the distillery's maltman and mashman have talked about what it was like to work with it.
