This is an 18 year old Speyside single malt from Balvenie, bottled at 48.7% in a 70cl bottle. It begins its maturation in American oak casks and is then finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry butts. It is bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration.
The American oak stage is associated with vanilla, caramel and gentle spice. The sweet sherry finish adds dried fruit, notably raisins and dried figs, along with a hint of dark chocolate and spice.
