A 19 year old single malt from Balvenie, bottled in 2023 at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle under the name A Revelation Of Cask And Character. It was matured in European sherry oak.
The nose is spiced blackcurrant chutney with seedless raisins and zesty orange peel, alongside ripe fruit including apricot, plantain, Moon Drop grape, green raisin and plum. The palate is bold and balanced, with currants, cherries and raisins giving way to chewy fig and rich cacao, then marzipan, black tea, white pepper, orange boiled sweets and stewed black fruits. The finish is long, creamy and nutty.
