This is a 30 year old single malt from the Balvenie distillery in Speyside, part of the Rare Marriages range, in a 70cl bottle. It spent its 30 years maturing in a combination of American and European oak casks.
The nose offers honey, bright citrus zest and subtle oak. The palate is rich, with dark chocolate, ripe figs, stone fruits and marzipan sweetness. The finish is very long and velvety, with lingering spice, honey and a hint of citrus.
