The Balvenie Caribbean Cask is a 14 year old Speyside single malt in a 75cl bottle. It spends 14 years in traditional oak whisky casks before a finish in casks that previously held Caribbean rum.
For that finish, Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums. When he judged the casks ready, the rum was replaced with the 14 year old spirit.
The whisky keeps the smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie, with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, and a warm, lingering finish.
