Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year Old is a Speyside single malt finished in rum casks. It spends 14 years maturing in American oak casks before moving to barrels that once held Caribbean rum.
Those barrels are seasoned by Balvenie's Malt Master with a bespoke blend of West Indian rums.
The whisky has a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. The palate shows rich, caramelised toffee with a touch of light, tropical fruitiness, and the flavours build in complexity without becoming overpowering. The finish is warm, lingering and gently spiced.
