A 21 year old Speyside single malt from Balvenie, in a 70cl bottle.
After its main maturation, the whisky receives a secondary ageing in 30-year-old port pipes that once held port wine. It was prepared under Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE.
The nose offers ripe raisins, perfumed fruit and a subtle nutty dryness. The palate is silky, with layers of dried fruit, soft honey and warming spice. The finish is long and gentle, with almond, oak and a lingering richness.
