A 19 year old single malt from Balvenie in Speyside, released as a limited edition in a 70cl bottle. It was aged only in European oak Oloroso sherry casks, a nod to Balvenie's coopering tradition and its use of barrels sourced from Scotland and Jerez.
The nose has caramelised citrus peel, toasted oats and rich, spiced fruits. The palate is full-bodied, with dark cherries, currants and ripe plum, deepened by cacao and sweet Oloroso richness.
The finish is long, with lingering warmth and subtle nuttiness.
