Balvenie The 1931 Collection Home Malt 12 Year Old (70cl, 47.5%)

This is a 12 year old single malt from The Balvenie, bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It celebrates the distillery's home malting, using barley grown and malted at The Mains of Balvenie Farm and partner farms. It was created in collaboration with the contemporary artist Daniel Arsham. The whisky was aged in American oak and finished in ex-sherry European oak butts from Jerez, Spain. The nose is warm biscuit and honeyed toffee, with delicate ginger and aromatic oak. The palate brings barley sugar, crystallised ginger and a little raisin, and the finish is rich, velvety and smooth.
