The Second Red Rose is a 21 year old Balvenie single malt from Speyside. It follows the original Balvenie Rose, and both whiskies draw on the story of Balvenie Castle and a red rose, told through David C Stewart and the creation of a distillery exclusive.
The nose is full of ripe fruit and earthy tones, from fresh mango to subtle oak. On the palate, blackberry and ripe peach sweetness sit over oak and cracked black pepper, leaving a gentle woody spice. The finish is a lingering oakiness.
