Balvenie – The Sweet Toast of American Oak 12 Year Old - Story No.01 is a single malt whisky from Balvenie (Speyside). Aged 12 years, bottled at 43% ABV, 70cl. Matured in virgin American oak finish. This is the first part of a collection of releases from Balvenie distillery that are entitled The Stories. The Sweet Toast of American Oak is the first in the collection and is a 12-year-old matured initially in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in virgin American oak, toasted on-site at the Balvenie cooperage. A highly-regarded malt distillery in Speyside and the second built by William Grant & Sons. The distillery is still owned by the company today its brand has been nurtured to become one of the most recognisable and sought-after single malts in the world.
