A Speyside single malt from Balvenie, Batch 8 of the Tun 1401 series, bottled by the distillery in 2013 at 50.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was put together by Malt Master David Stewart. The batch marries nine American oak barrels with three European sherry butts, brought together in Tun 1401, a large marrying tun in Warehouse 24. The outturn was 2700 bottles, mainly intended for global travel retail. It is known for honeyed sweetness, rich spice and a dried fruit character.
