Balvenie – Tun 1509 Batch 6 (70cl)

Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 6 is a Speyside single malt, the sixth batch in the Tun 1509 series. It was put together from 21 casks: refill sherry casks, refill sherry butts and bourbon casks. The whisky was then left to marry for three months in Tun 1509 before it was bottled. The nose is soft and sweet, with brown sugar, toffee, honey blossom, ginger and oak. On the palate come treacle, candied orange and a hint of rum, and the finish stays sweet and malty with vanilla, oak and spice.
