Bank Note Peated Reserve 5 Year Old is a blended Scotch at 43%, in a 750ml bottle, from the A.D. Rattray family of brands. The blend is 40% malt whisky and 60% Lowland grain whisky. The malt part combines Speyside and Highland single malts with a measured amount of Islay peated malt. It is aged for a minimum of five years in American oak casks.
The nose shows gentle peat smoke and malt, with vanilla and citrus. The palate is smooth, with honey, light smoke, soft grain and a touch of oak. The finish is short to medium, with fading peat.
