Barbancourt 4 Year Old is a Haitian rum distilled from pure sugar cane rather than molasses. It matures for four years in French oak casks. On the nose it shows lively citrus and fresh sugar cane, with subtle vanilla and sweet spice. On the palate it is smooth and well balanced, with a sweet entry and a light oak astringency. It suits spiced Caribbean dishes or refined exotic cocktails, and can also be enjoyed neat with dark chocolate.
