Barbaresco DOCG della Tradizione Marchesi di Barolo

A red wine from Marchesi di Barolo, with a clear ruby-tinged colour. The nose opens with ripe red fruit, discreet floral notes and light spice. The palate is juicy and dry, with present but well-calibrated tannins and freshness supporting the structure; the finish is persistent with good aromatic cleanliness. It accompanies traditional Italian dishes, red meats, light game and medium-aged cheeses, and also mushroom-based dishes and savoury sauces. Brief decanting is recommended before serving, at around 16-18 °C, in a wide glass to bring out the aromas.
